TrekSafer is provided "as-is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We make no guarantees regarding the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or reliability of any information displayed.
Third-Party Data
TrekSafer relies on data from external sources that are not controlled by TrekSafer. Errors, omissions, or delays may originate from those sources.
Assumption of Risk
Outdoor activities and natural environments involve inherent risks, including serious injury or death. You assume all risks associated with using TrekSafer and any decisions made based on its information.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TrekSafer shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the service.

Privacy Policy
What We Collect
When you text TrekSafer, we receive your phone number and the contents of your message, including the GPS coordinates you send. Message contents are kept in service logs for 30 days to troubleshoot issues, then automatically deleted.
Your phone number is kept on file for as long as the service operates. This is required to honor opt-out (STOP) requests permanently and to ensure you receive the one-time welcome message only once. We never share or sell phone numbers.
SMS Consent and Messaging
By texting the TrekSafer number, you agree to receive SMS messages from TrekSafer. TrekSafer only replies to messages you send; it never initiates contact. Message frequency varies with your use. Message and data rates may apply and are charged by your carrier or satellite provider. Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe, or HELP for assistance.
No Sharing of Mobile Information
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your phone number and message contents are never sold and are used only to operate the service.
Service Providers
TrekSafer sends and receives SMS messages through SignalWire, our messaging provider. Your phone number and message contents pass through and are stored by SignalWire as a necessary part of delivering the service, subject to their own privacy policy.
To answer a request, your GPS coordinates, never your phone number or identity, are included in queries to the public wildfire, avalanche, and air quality data sources.
Website
The website uses Cloudflare Turnstile to keep automated scrapers away from the contact number, a cookie to remember that you passed the check, and Google Analytics to understand site traffic. Website analytics are not connected to SMS usage in any way.
Mailing List
If you sign up for the mailing list, a confirmation link is emailed to you and your address is stored on the TrekSafer server only after you confirm it. Addresses are used only to send occasional TrekSafer updates and are never shared or sold. To be removed from the list, use the unsubscribe link in any email or write to info@treksafer.com.
